  Opinion Health
This site specialises in paid surveys that are related to health and wellbeing and they look for participants from all aspects of life, providing that they are 18 or over and a UK resident. Your views and opinions can directly affect new medical research and product developments and even public health policies.

Members receive relevant paid surveys via email based on the profile information that they provide upon registration. The more information you provide the better Opinion Health can match you up with suitable paid surveys. You are rewarded with points for each paid survey you complete and the number of points will vary depending upon the complexity and length of the paid survey. Once you have accumulated 125 points (£25) you will receive payment via cheque to the address you registered with on the site, alternatively you can donate your earnings to a health related charity. This means that each point is worth 20p. Some paid surveys are worth a few points and some can be worth tens of points meaning that the payment threshold can be reached quickly quickly.

 Saros Research
Saros Research pays you to take part in focus groups, discussions groups, interviews or paid surveys. They provide detailed consumer research information for a host of well known UK companies and cover a wide range of sectors including mobile phone providers, wines, IT products, home cleaning products, cars and many more areas.

You can expect to be well compensated for your efforts because of the time commitment involved and Saros states that this generally means between £30 and £50 for between 2-3 hours research, plus you often get to keep the products/samples that you give your opinions upon. We have found this to be accurate and whilst we have found the frequency of paid surveys to be lower with this site, the compensation involved is excellent. Typically you might get an invite to paid discussions and focus groups every 6 months (although it can be longer), but this depends upon your individual profile.

 CCFRA - Food Research
Campden and Chorleywood Food Research association specialise in food and drink related paid surveys. You could be invited to a focus group or our favourite, a taste test in which you will get to try the latest product offerings before they arrive in the high street. You should expect taste tests and focus groups to last anywhere between 1 hour and 1 hour and 30 mins in duration.

There are also a range of paid surveys online in which you will be asked to give your opinions on food and drink related items from chocolate to fruit drinks. You might be asked to comment on how it looks, or various packaging styles. Your views and opinions will directly effect new product developments.

The frequency of paid survey opportunities from CCFRA is less than other sites, on average one or two invites every 3 months, however the rewards are very good and you can expect from £5 for an online paid survey up to £50 for a taste test or focus group. All payments are made in either cash or shopping vouchers immediately after completion, meaning that you get paid more quickly.

 Fhios
Fhios offer a range of paid surveys, mystery visitor, usability studies and focus group opportunities, all of which are great way to express you opinions whilst earning money. The mystery visitor paid survey opportunities are especially fun as you could be invited to give an honest opinion on a new website that is being developed, testing it out even before it is commercially available online. Typically you would be expected to complete a set of specific paid survey questions provided by the client organisation and score the website accordingly. This could be related to site navigation and easy of use or the content contained within the site and will generally last around 30 minutes. Payments for this type of paid survey are typically around £20 per time and all payments are made by cheque seven days after the survey has closed.

Usability studies and focus groups are more involved and would require travel to take part, if you decided to participate. However the rewards are significant offering around £50 per session, often more, and they can last between 1 to 2 hours in length. On these occasions participants are paid by cheque on the day.

Members are given a set of tasks each week (usually 2-3) which involves posting blank letters to specific addresses across the country. Each member is given a postal schedule, which states which post box in your immediate area (usually with a five minute walk) you should post the item from and on what date. Research International then ask you to log the date and approximate time you posted the item online via a member account which is created for you when you register.  Focusline
Focusline are an international provider of paid surveys which encompass a number of different companies worldwide, including UK residents. UK residents aged 13 and over can participate in paid survey opportunities through the site, although parental permission is required for those under the age of sixteen.

The great feature of Focusline is that they provide both online paid surveys and chat based focus groups, which take place through online forums and are guided by a research assistant. There are a good range of paid survey opportunities available, however they appear less frequent than other sites. This is compensated for by the cash rewards members receive which are usually between $25 (£12.50) and £45 (£22.50) per paid activity, approximately. All earnings are paid in US dollars, but because they pay via PayPal, which converts foreign currency into GBP for free, then there is no problem. Typically, paid surveys last between 10 and 30 minutes and online focus groups between 30 minutes to one hour.

There is no minimum threshold to accumulate before getting paid. Instead members are paid once the paid activities are completed and closed, a process that on average takes 8 weeks.
